We originally considered wearing money belts.
However, it quickly became apparent that the rucksack hip strap would rest on the money belt which would rub and cause discomfort.
So instead we both carried travel wallets.
Whilst hiking we carried them securely inside our rucksacks.
Once changed into our refuge-wear, we found that their small size allowed them to be carried in a pocket or using the strap provided, around the neck.

The wallet illustrated held our cash, credit cards and passport with plenty of space to spare and cost under £10 from a local department store.
