During the summer of 2006 we hiked our first long distance wilderness walk from Perth on the east coast of Scotland to Fort William on the west coast.

It was an agency organised hike, so we just carried day sacks whilst our luggage was transported via car or train to the next stop. We had fine weather, saw spectacular sights, met wonderful people and on our final day ascended Ben Nevis . . . because it was there.
